Me and Vaala at a puppyshow at Tampere, year 2008

I'm 21-year-old girl from Asikkala. At the moment I live in one of the bottom houses of two-storey row-house, in one room and kitchen-living room -student apartment. I moved here at August 2008, when I got a studying place here at Asikkala. Before this I've lived almost my whole life at Joensuu, which is in eastern Finland (Asikkala is more southern Finland).

I'm a member of these associations:
Suomen Kennelliitto
Suomen Buhund yhdistys
Norsk Kennel Klub
Norsk Buhundklubb

I went to a breeder's course at the November of year 2007, and I passed the course. Kennelname is under thinking.

Besides phone, email and the site's guestbook I can be contacted also with MSN messenger and Facebook.
Be sure to tell me who you are at Messenger after I've accepted you. At Facebook it might be a good thing to tell that too, for I won't accept complete strangers. MSN Messenger: latl88sini@suomi24.fi

Buhund's in my life
First time I saw a buhund was when I was thinking if I should take a virtual buhundpuppy to my virtual kennel or not. It was at the start of year 2004. The litter was probably the first buhund litter in the virtual world and I had never even heard of this breed before. So first I had to go and see what kind of dog is this buhund anyway, it's good to know something about the breed when you take one - even if this happens virtually. With Google's picture search I found a lot of buhund pictures and my first statement was "it looks a bit like finnish spitz...". After that I've changed my opinion, they don't after all have very much in common, same FCI group and pointed ears.

So I ended up taking that little virtual buhund puppy. After this I of course had to find some pictures to this little nice thing, you must find a real kennel that gives you permission to copy their pictures to virtual dog. First finnish place I found was kennel Maxfrin. There I read about buhunds and their character (it's good if virtual dogs's character is something like the breed's character in general) and something else common information about breed. Buhund as a breed started to interest me and slowly it pushed irish setter as my favourite breed away. I placed a lot of questions on the guestbook and got answers to those questions to my email. Then I was completely in love.

It was year 2004 when I met the first buhund. It was an international dogshow at Lahti, and the buhund was Tinka (Vaulartun's Katinka Littis Dotter). We went to see Tinka with mum, I took few pictures of Tinka and when we were driving home I got a permission to get my own buhund. And what comes to getting a buhund, it's a whole new story. But shortly; First I tried to get a puppy from Finland, but I couldn't get a dog from here, so we decided (with mum) that we canimport buhund from Norway or Sweden. I contacted few breeders from Norway and year 2005, 16th day of March I got email, that Freia's been born last evening. First I wanted to have a wheaten buhund, but only one was born, and it was already reserved, so I decided to go with black. And I wont regret my decision, because Freia is the most beautiful and cute buhund in the world.

Then, at year 2007 December Freia got puppies. I wanted to leave one home, and I was hoping to have a wheaten bitch, but again this time I got a black one, because there were no wheaten bitches at all. Lucky it's not that big thing with the color, so this black puppy stayed to bring more joy to our lives.

Dogs (and cats) of my life     There has been a lot of dogs in my live, but only these two have been my own. I was afraid of dogs when I was little, but it got better after we had our first dog at year 1999. Ufo is a cross-breed of pumi and japanese spitz, a grey furball which lives with my mother.
Year after Ufo, I found a little kitten from the forest. She was so young that we had to find her a mother-cat. With her new mother she spent a couple of weeks and after that Firi came back to us.
Then it was year 2002 when my sister got her first own dog, a dutch shepherd bitch Fraai. Same year I got my first own animal, an orange catboy Feu. Feu was the most friendliest cat, and he always came when I called him. He also loved to bite people's noses if they weren't careful, but it was his way to tell he loves them. A couple years back Feu was lost to forest, and it was never found.
After Feu and Fraai, my sister had another long-haired dutch shepherd. He was an adult man, Masi.

After this my sister moved away from home. Year 2006 Fraai had puppies because of her breeder. Puppies decided to born so early, that they lived at my sister's for their first weeks. I got to take care of them for a few days, too. From that litter, my sister took the smallest one, yellow bitchpuppy, Hyy. And then next year there was yet another addition to my sister's dogs. This time it was a short-haired dutch shepherd Suri. Sadly, November of same year, at the age of 7 months, Suri got hit by a car and went to a rainbow bridge.
At the start of year 2008 my sister went to France and Switzerland to get two dutch shepherd bitches (they were related to Suri); Malta and Jadi.

To me, year 2007 brought my second dog, Vaala. October 2007 we went to Norway with Freia, to see the male I chose for her. Puppies were born at December, and there was not that much of a choise. I wanted to have a bitch, and there was only one bitch in the litter, so the last-born black brat stayed here to keep her mother company and keep me busy with her tricks.
Before Vaala, our her grew with two long-haired catsisters; Tiiti and Vavaenna. It was year 2006 and November.
Summer 2008 I also bought a small aquarium, which is right now under construction as a project. There will be some little crabs there, but right now it's busy with one lonely fish I've been trying to get rid of. It would need some company and over a meter longer aquarium than I have. The fish came with the aquarium, and has moved my aquarium-project by being there.
2008 I also got two fancy rats. They came to me just before christmas. Third rat is coming April 2009.
So there are two dogs, three cats, aquarium and two rats in our family. It's clear that there will not be more cats than this and with dogs I need to wait still for a moment. There will be third rat, maybe fourth, to give them the best I can (rats need a pack, and two or three rats are hardly a pack), but I think that's about it with them, too.

I've also got to know a bit of the huntingdogs through the dogs of my mother's former friend. I've known two karelian-bear dogs, Jämthund and a charming finnish hound bitch, who got lost when she was under a year old, and was found year later. In good condition.
